Acrotomophilia

Acrotomophilia means to be strongly attracted by a physical disability of a person. Contrary to common believe, this is not an obsession, but a stimulation by imperfection. Almost all acrotomophiles are male, and the majority of acrotomophiles and their partners have a wonderful relationship.

Acrotomophiles are strongly attracted by the physical disability of a person, specifically amputees and their shortened limbs.

However, today it is also used to describe being sexually excited by spastics, paralysis or people relying on a wheelchair or crutches.

Almost all acrotomophiles are male, the sources for that paraphilia are still not fully clear.

The counterpart is Apotemnophilia, which describes the sexual interest in being an amputee.
